quality outdoor programS HELP RETAIN MEMBERS
Commissioners can support the retention mission by advising units on the planning of their outdoor program.
An annual review of their outdoor activities will give Commissioners a chance to congratulate units who are doing well and offer assistance to those who need to improve. Commissioners can also educate unit committees on the importance of outdoor programs and help them understand their role in supporting the unit leaders.
Cub Scouts should be exposed to the outdoors in age appropriate activities to help them develop their skills and feel comfortable in outdoors. Boy Scouts should be outdoors every month! Venturers should be participicating in unique and challenging high adventure activities.
